How to IM Relay

Already have an AIM Account?

Get plugged into the new AT&T IM Relay and start connecting on AOL Instant Messenger! All you need is an Internet connection and an AIM account. Your AIM account and IM Relay calls are free. Watch the video on the left to see how easy it is to make a free relay call. Login in the right side panel to get started.

New to AIM?

Start by getting your FREE AIM account. Click "Sign up Now" on the left side panel to get started.

Make an IM Relay Call

Ready to make an IM Relay call?

Once you are logged into AIM in the left panel, follow these steps to make your first IM Relay call.

  1. Click Menu
  2. Click New IM
  3. Type in ATTRelay
  4. Click New IM

  1. Type "Hi" in the lower box and press enter to get a list of options.

    Type CALL and the phone number you wish to call and press enter.

    Example: CALL 313-555-1212

 

Spanish IM Relay

By entering the word Spanish into the text window, the system will send all calls to Spanish speaking operators. Type ENGLISH or INGLES to return to English mode.
